Have you ever stumbled across work you completed years ago and decided to give it another go?

As well as writing Heaven’s Envoy, Interstellar Fleet book 3, I’ve also been rewriting a book I finished in 2023: Reprisal, Space Colony One book 9, and the final book in the series.

The reason being, as I was recording the audiobook version I realised I could improve the last part of the book.

So I have.

Now, if you’ve read the entire Space Colony One series, you may be feeling a bit miffed. You put time, money and effort into reading Reprisal, and now it’s different.

But there are two very good reasons for not being miffed.

Intruders on the home planet

The crew of the Sirocco has made it back to Concordia—only to find the Scythians got there before them.

Their planet has been invaded, the human population has been enslaved, and the fight for freedom seems hopeless.

SHIP’S LOG

As I mentioned, I’ve been recording Reprisal, Space Colony One book 9, and I’m delighted to announce the audiobook has gone live on YouTube.

The entire series is now available. It’s been a monumental effort but worth it for the opportunity to re-acquaint myself with the brave, resourceful generations of characters as they fight for the survival of humanity’s first deep space colony.

The starship has also managed a couple of trips out, though I have to say the dour British winter doesn’t provide the best conditions.

Our latest trip was to Devil’s Dyke, the deepest dry valley in the UK, situated in the South Downs. I put a pic at the bottom of the bulletin.
