I like your table, however, maybe the tall piles could be taken down to maybe 5 books per pile, just to streamline it all...either that or get two tables and spread it out more so it doesn't look so overwhelming. I would have a terrible time trying to pick...kind of like going to a super store like WalMart...I tend to get really overwhelmed with all the choices.
I understand how you feel, Kimberly. I think you're right and I need to reduce the number of books and create shorter piles. Usually, a second table would double the cost so I might not take that route just yet.
Thanks, Christine. I should have included a photo of the whole tree. Though it's still small it's covered in blossom. Thanks for the feedback about my dealer's table.
More pictures behind you, fewer books on the table. No stacks higher than a handful, and definitely no racks holding copies at angles. Just my opinion, only one reader. There's usually plenty of room on the floor for boxed stock, if someone wants to splurge on "one of everything."
Thanks, Bob. On reflection, I agree. I do have another banner but space constraints meant I had to choose only one. You're right, there was plenty of room under the table to store extra books.
I'm no marketing expert, but have you considered having single copies of each book on the table and the rest behind it? You could either replace the table copy whenever you make a sale or give the buyer a copy from the reserve stacks.
You're right, Mike. There was plenty of room under the table to store extra books. And if only one is visible on the table it creates the illusion of scarcity, a standard marketing tactic. Thanks for your feedback.
I never mind stacks of books, lol. But that said, I think all the books on the table plus the banner with all the books behind the table is a bit much for me visually. I would probably be more easily drawn in by your name and a single spaceship on the banner behind - from a distance that's pretty much all I need to know. Then when I get to the table it's less cluttery looking and I focus on the books. My preference would be fairly short stacks, with the top one vertical like you have now. I must also mention that I am old (lol) and do not have the tolerance for fast and cluttered that is the norm for advertising these days, just to put this in perspective. :)
I agree it does look cluttered with the poster behind too. I actually have another that's much simpler. Space constraints prevented me from displaying both and I picked the one that I thought was the most informative. Thanks for your perspective. It's very helpful.
Thanks, Timothy. I think after hearing everyone's opinions I'm going to have three short stacks, each from a different series, at the front and centre and nine different books in the rack display. That'll show everything but shouldn't be too overwhelming.

The Pear 🍐 tree 🌳 flower is pretty. I do agree that your table is too "busy". To much to look at at once and to know where to start looking.

I personally like to see lots of choices, even older stuff. I agree with Kimberly though, shorter stacks might work better.
