Congratulations 🎊 This is hard. I haven't read any of your books in a while. One "scene" comes to mind. I waited a day or two to comment thinking that something else would come to my mind. Nope. Totally blank.
The "scene" that is in my mind is when they (Space Colony) come home from meeting with all the alien coalitions and are stunned by how the colony has grown into a metropolis and most of their family and friends are either old or have passed on. They hadn't realized that they had been gone that long (in years) and haven't aged. They are the same as when they left. In addition, the younger colony member's only know them by learning about them in school and are excited to meet them.
I can only imagine what they felt like. It's like us when we return to our home towns after being away for years. Much has changed, but then some things haven't. You feel like you don't know anyone. Intimidating and scary.
